ADMISSIONS OFFICE >   Join Our Faculty

The LawPartneringSM Institute is currently accepting applications from attorneys in corporate and private practice, consultants, vendors, educators and others with partnering knowledge and experience willing to lend their expertise in moderating our online Discussion Forums.

To provide different perspectives on discussion topics, eventually, each discussion forum will have three faculty-moderators. Ideally, we would like to have moderator panels composed of one in-house counsel, an attorney in private practice and someone employed as an educator, consultant or legal vendor.

Faculty-moderators are responsible simply for monitoring the member discussion, keeping the dialogue focused on the dedicated subject, asking occasional thought-provoking questions and responding in substance whenever they like. We do not ask our faculty to "carry the ball" in every conversation, to teach a course on the forum topic or to provide unlimited free advice to other Institute members.

How To Apply

Contributing Is Valuable, Rewarding, Easy And Convenient

By joining our faculty and promoting the dynamics of partnering, you'll be helping to create positive change in the legal profession. As a faculty member, you'll have the opportunity to develop and refine your own approach to partnering, demonstrate your expertise and build your reputation and credentials as a thought leader in partnering relationships. You'll be in a strong position to influence the thinking and actions of prospective customers, clients and colleagues interested in the benefits of partnering arrangements.

Also, as a faculty member, you'll have access to our exclusive Faculty Lounge. Here, you'll meet and have the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with other faculty members who, as experienced attorneys and business leaders, similarly believe in what partnering has to offer. In addition, you'll be invited to participate in future special public, in-house and online training programs and seminars that the Institute intends to produce as part of our expanding lawpartnering educational services.

To encourage participation in our discussion forums and make the experience easy and convenient, we've chosen unique software (by Web Crossing) that offers the option of receiving email notice whenever a message is posted in a forum of interest. Accordingly, as a faculty member, it's easy to follow discussion threads. You do not need to visit the Institute to determine if a discussion is developing in the forum you are moderating. You can set your preferences to receive notice of any activity, and you can even respond to posts by email without coming the site, if you like.

We know, too, that you are busy and that your time is limited. By sharing responsibilities with other faculty members, we anticipate that moderating a discussion forum will require only a few moments of your time each week. Remember, we're not asking you to teach a course on the discussion topic, to be the ultimate authority or to carry the sole burden of moving every conversation along. Collaborating with other faculty members, you should easily be able to moderate a forum by posting or responding to messages a few times a week.

Positions Available

Faculty positions are available in all of the forums listed below. Introductory descriptions of the discussion topics are provided in our LawPartneringSM Syllabus. If you view the Syllabus, please use the "Back" button on your browser to return to this page of our site.
