you'll see that the LawPartneringSM Institute is modeled after other institutions
of higher learning. For your convenience, the navigation bar along the left side
of each page in the public areas of the site remains visible at all times. At
the bottom of each page, you'll find additional navigation links to key areas
of the Institute, including the Campus Map, which offers a quick overview of the
Institute facilities.
Public Areas
Information Center:
As its name implies, the Information Center is where you'll find basic information
About the Institute, including a list of Membership
Benefits. Here, too, in addition to accessing this Guided Tour, you'll find

on how to Contact Us if you have any questions about
this site.

The President's Message welcomes all visitors and encourages
you to become a member of the Institute. You're offered the opportunity to Become
A Member, without cost, if you have not already done so. In registering, you'll be
asked to review our Membership Agreement and Privacy
Policy. In addition, if you have expertise in a given area of partnering strategies
or tactics and would like to guide a Discussion Forum, the Admissions Office provides
an application to Join Our Faculty.

or law firm's bottom line.

The LawPartneringSM News headline provides links to Recent
Articles & Press Releases pertaining to partnering, a listing of Upcoming
Events and the current LawPartneringSM Honors Award, which
recognizes outstanding partnering achievements in the legal profession. As a member
of the Institute, you'll also automatically receive the LP Bulletin, our unscheduled

At the Bookstore, you'll find a collection of valuable Books,
Conference Materials (handbooks and audio-visual

our comprehensive online LawPartneringSM Manual.
The online Manual is the Institute's basic textbook and a growing resource of
lawpartneringSM information, comprising original and other materials submitted by
corporate and law firm faculty members who have participated in national LawPartneringSM
Forums. The Manual is also available in hard copy.

Restricted - Members Only
Exclusive Member Features:
Through this title box on the public homepage, you can peruse our LawPartneringSM
Curriculum, which offers a broad overview of the subjects covered in our Discussion
Forums and the online LawPartneringSM Manual. You also have the opportunity to Meet
Our Faculty and review their credentials. Please note, however, the following facilities
are accessible only to enrolled members of the LawPartneringSM Institute.
Learning Center:
Once you are enrolled, we encourage you to learn more about partnering and participate
actively in online discussions with our faculty and other Institute members. The
Learning Center offers several formal and informal educational resources.
A LawPartneringSM
Orientation is provided for members who want a quick introduction to the basics
of lawpartneringSM relationships. The orientation answers fundamental questions
about partnering, including descriptions of what it is, what it is not and the
many benefits that partnering provides.
The Member
Lounge offers an informal meeting place where you are welcome to network and
chat with other members and faculty about partnering or any subject that you like.
A Faculty Lounge is also provided for the exclusive
use of the Institute's faculty.
You can access all
of the Institute's online Discussion Forums through
the Learning Center. Instructions on how to participate in the forums and Discussion
Forum Rules are posted for your reference. Except for the "Open Discussion"
forum, our discussion groups are dedicated to specific partnering topics. The
forums are organized under the broad categories of LawPartneringSM Strategies,
LawPartneringSM Tactics, LawPartneringSM for Legal Administrators and
Law Marketers, and Successful Partnering Case Studies. A unique forum is also
provided where you can get "Quick Answers To Partnering Problems." We expect that
this forum will become one of the most valued and popular areas of our site.
In the Special
Programs area of the Learning Center, you will find information about upcoming
national, regional and local LawPartneringSM conferences, as well as special online
educational programs. Membership in the LawPartneringSM Institute will entitle
you to discount registration fees for many of these events.
Library: Across
the Rotunda (actually just a click away) is the Institute's members-only Library.
In the library, you'll find a Reference Desk
offering an extensive bibliography of partnering information. The Institute
Library also houses the online LawPartneringSM Manual,
Implementation Guidelines and Sample
Documents. For continuity and ease of reference, you'll see that the Discussion
Forums, the Reference Desk bibliography and the LawPartneringSM Manual are all organized
according to the same topical outline. In the Archives
of Library, you can research the older threads of our Discussion Forums.
Resource Office:
Partnering, by definition, is not a solo endeavor. Although partnering is a relatively
new business model for delivering legal services, there are a broad range of resources
available to corporate counsel and law firm leaders who want to jump-start or
re-energize partnering relationships. At the Institute's Resource Office, you
can access contact information about Law Departments
and Law Firms, as well as Consultants
and Vendors, that have substantial partnering experience. Links are also provided
to other Useful Web Sites, where you will find additional
online resources for building strong law firm/client relationships and facilitating
meaningful change in the legal profession.
Thanks for taking the time
to review our Guided Tour. Remember, membership in the LawPartneringSM Institute is
free. Please take this opportunity to Become A Member now if you have
not already done so.
