The LawPartneringSM Institute
offers four primary resources for enhancing your understanding of partnering dynamics,
relationships and arrangements: (1) our LawPartneringSM Orientation materials,
(2) our Discussion Forums, (3) our online LawPartneringSM Manual and Guidelines,
and (4) additional references available through our Bookstore and
members-only Library.
LawPartneringSM:
The term "lawpartneringSM" is used throughout this site to refer
to and distinguish partnering relationships,
arrangements and networks involving the delivery of legal and law-related services
from other types of strategic partnering ventures.
New Member
Orientation: New
members of the LawPartneringSM Institute are encouraged to review our LawPartneringSM
Orientation materials to gain a better understanding of partnering dynamics and
a strong foundation for participating actively in our online Discussion Forums.
The Orientation addresses these important issues:
What is partnering?
What's driving the partnering trend?
How significant is the interest in partnering?
What specific benefits does partnering offer?
What are the disadvantages of partnering?
What are the characteristics of an ideal partnering arrangement?
How does partnering affect legal administrators and law marketing professionals?
Is lawpartneringSM here to stay?
Discussion Forum
Topics: An outline of our
Discussion Forum topics is presented below. Introductory descriptions to each subject are
presented in our LawPartneringSM Syllabus.

Manual And Guidelines: The LawPartneringSM
Manual and Implementation Guidelines are the Institute's basic reference sources. We’ve taken the
best materials submitted by corporate and law firm faculty members in our past national partnering forums
and combined them into a comprehensive online resource. For convenience and ease of use, the
documents comprising the online Manual are presented in PDF format and
organized following the same topic outline as our Discussion Forums, listed
above. Over time, we will supplement the Manual with new information, articles,
excerpts from online discussions and other materials so that members of the LawPartneringSM
Institute will have access to an exclusive, continually growing resource of lawpartneringSM
information.
Please note that the online LawPartneringSM Manual
and Implementation Guidelines are password protected. These resources are available free of charge to all members of
the Institute who have attended our prior partnering conferences or purchased
the participant’s handbooks from those programs. If you would like access to these materials,
member subscriptions to the online Manual and Guidelines may be purchased through our
Bookstore.
Additional
Resources: A variety
of materials on partnering related subjects – including articles, books, conference
handouts, audio and videotapes and sample documents – are available through the
Bookstore and our member Library. For consistent
reference, the bibliography of materials at the Library Reference Desk, the Sample
Documents and our Discussion Forum Archives are organized according to the same
topic outline presented above.
